The Morning Dump: 3/1/12

Hello Thursday, I miss you now that I am not bartending anymore.  You were a good night at the bar, filled with mostly service people.  I need a Jager Bomb.

Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus

NASCAR docked #48 25 points and suspended Knaus for 6 races for the infractions found at Daytona inspection.  JJ’s search for a 6th championship didn’t start well in Daytona.

Good win NC State.  I think it’s a little too late.

If Jeremy Lin would have tasted his own blood after he got his nose busted and screamed like Tong Po from Kickboxer I would have lost it last night.

The Hall of Fame game on Aug. 5th will be the Saints/Cardinals.  The Saints volunteered so they could be there for Willie Roafs HOF induction.

Shabazz Muhammad

Cool your jets UNC and Duke, Shabazz Muhammad might be ineligible.  His unofficial visits to UNC and Duke were paid for by a NC based investment banker who is the brother of one of his assistant coaches.  He says he is a family friend but we will see what the NCAA says about that.

U.S. soccer defeated Italy for the first time, 1-0.

The NCAA has bared the Fighting Sioux of the University of North Dakota from displaying any reference to their nickname in the playoffs of any sport.  The team will forfeit the game.

A masked man stormed the court in L.A. and helped the Lakers beat the Timberwolves.

MLB will add 2 wild card teams for the 2012 playoffs.  I think they are doing this to guarantee the Yankees and Red Sox both always make the playoffs.

I think I am starting some P90X today.
