The Morning Dump: 3/21/12

High energy dump this morning with the Foo Fighters rocking in the background.  How is everyone doing?

Someone just got blocked by Hines Ward.

Hines Ward has retired after 14 great seasons.  The best blocking WR ever has 2 Super Bowls and should be in the HOF on the first ballot.  But he won’t.  Ward will join the backlog of HOF caliber WR waiting for Canton to open its doors.

I love the move by the Eagles getting DeMeco Ryans from Houston more than they made last year.  He will really thrive in the middle of their D.

Alex Smith is staying in San Fran.  Smart move for both.

Chad Knaus giving his car the Days of Thunder speech.

Surprised the penalties for the #48 Lowes Chevy were overturned.  NASCAR will make sure to catch them again and will be looking very hard at Knaus the rest of his career.  NASCAR holds grudges.

Tiger Woods looked healthy at the Tavistock Cup.  He says he is good to go for Augusta and I believe him.

The PGA has ended the Q-school format and decided to go with a minor league system.  The Nationwide Tour will be the main stepping stone for PGA Tour entry.

Henrik Lundqvist (Jim Young/Reuters)

I enjoyed the HBO Real Sports piece on Henrik Lundqvist last night.  Sharp guy and a very good interview.

  1. I didn’t know blind side cheap shots made you a great blocker.
