I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend and were able to spend time with your families.
Prince Fielder’s first 3 games for the Tigers: .417 BA, 2 HR, 3 RBI and 3 wins. Not a bad investment. Pairing him with Miguel Cabrera gives the Tigers the “Bash Brothers” 2012 Edition.
Speaking of the Bash Brothers, Todd Philips needs to put Jose Canseco in a movie so he can have a career resurrection ala Mike Tyson.
The Baltimore Orioles and the New York Mets are on top of their divisions at 3-0. This must have been why the Mayans were so scared of 2012.
The Yankees and the Red Sox are both 0-3 for the first time since 1966. I wouldn’t be panicking if I was a Yankees fan but Boston is another story. Their lack of pitching will kill them. It won’t be long before Bobby Valentine is wearing his Groucho glasses in the dugout again.
I think Melo answered his doubters yesterday with his clutch win over the Bulls. Speaking of the Bulls, it will be hard for them to win in the playoffs if they cannot win close games.
For those of you who are judging Bobby Petrino, I ask you to first remember what it says in your bible, “Let he who has not wrecked his motorcycle with his mistress/employee on the back cast the first stone”.
If you ever go to The Masters you may see a man named Wayne Mitchell. He is the one who caught the ball that Louie Oosthuizan used to shoot his now legendary albatross. After Louie tossed it into the crowd and Wayne caught it, it was given to Augusta National in exchange for what I can only assume was a lifetime of Masters passes.
Isiah Thomas was fired by FIU after 3 straight losing seasons and is eyeing a return to the Knicks. Haven’t the Knicks fans suffered enough?
With Alistair Overeem failing his pre-fight drug test, the UFC Heavyweight Champion is looking for a challenger. I think the UFC should give Cain Velasquez another title shot at Junior Dos Santos.
