The Morning Dump: 4/19/12

It’s a Foo Fighters morning with their latest album “Wasting Light” rocking my office.

Did anyone else catch the Steelers beating the Eagles 10-3 last night?  The Flyers’ goalies could not see the puck at all last night and it was crazy.  Playoff hockey is about momentum and the Pens got it now.  They just can’t afford to slip up down 3-1.

Vancouver also avoided elimination last night with a 3-1 win over the Kings.  Put your riot gear back on the shelf Vancouver PD.

Tim Tebow was named to Time’s list of most influential people.  Mark Sanchez is on Time’s list of future reality show contestants.

Cliff Lee pitched 10 shutout innings and Matt Cain pitched 9 in the best pitching matchup in years.  The Giants won in the 1th 1-0 but the starters proved they are 2 of the leagues best.

The Greatest Catcher Ever?

Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez is retiring.  14-time AL-Star, 13 Gold Gloves 1999 MVP, 2003 World Series Champ and future 1st ballot Hall of Famer.  The best defensive catcher all time and the 3 best offensive catcher.

The Bobcats are imploding.  Paul Silas and Tyrus Thomas playing the feud and they didn’t even show last night against the Bulls. (100-68).  Jordan and his “YES MEN” have some work to do.

Pat Summitt has stepped down at Tennessee to fight her battle with early on-set dementia.  Summitt is one of the greatest coaches ever in any sport hands down.
