2003 British Open Champion Ben Curtis(-9) shot an even par-72 on Sunday to hold of Matt Every and Jason Huh by 2 strokes to win his first tournament in nearly 6 years.  The emotional win was huge for Curtis who has been on hard times professionally since his surprise 2003 Open Championship and has only gotten into 4 tour events this season.  Hopefully Curtis can turn this victory into a solid season.

In a tale of 2 first rounds Jason Huh overcame an opening round 77 and Matt Every failed to capitalise on his course record opening round 63 to finish just behind Curtis at 7-under.  Jason Huh was searching for his 2nd win of the season and Every was looking for his 1st career win so both of them will be searching next week.

Next Week’s Tournament:

Zurich Classic of New Orleans

TPC Louisiana

Avondale, LA

2011 Winner:  Bubba Watson
