Jumbo’s NFL Betting Guide Week 5

I went 7-7-1 last week and that dropped my record to a still respectable 37-23-3 (62%), but I am looking for a rebound week.  I’ve already hit on the Browns, so lets get on this.

Bills at Browns -4 8:20pm NFL Network (Browns 37 Bills 24)

It was an ugly game with both starting QBs getting knocked out.  2 defensive/special team TDs guaranteed no chance for the under.

Lions at Packers -7 1pm FOX

Bush

The Lions have lost 22 straight in Green Bay, and I don’t see them breaking that streak.  I do see them sticking around long enough to cover the TD.

Seahawks -2.5 at Colts 1pm FOX

The Seahawks are a very good team on the road, just not the great team they are at home.  This Colts team is better than last year and I think they give the Seahawks their first loss of 2013.

Ravens at Dolphins -3 1pm CBS

The Ravens have promised to go back to the power running game, and protect Joe Flacco from himself.  The Dolphins were exposed by New Orleans on Monday and may have trouble with the Ravens on a short week.

Saints at Bears Pk Em 1pm FOX

The weather will be a factor in Chicago on Sunday (Heavy Rains), and the Saints will win it with their defense.

Eagles at Giants -2 1pm FOX

The Giants can’t fall to 0-5, right?

Patriots at Bengals Pk Em 1pm CBS

The loss of Vince Wilfork will hurt the Pats vs. the Bengals run game, and that will be enough to give the Bengals the edge in this one.  Look for a big game from Giovani Bernard.

Jaguars at Rams -11.5 1pm CBS

Are the Rams good enough to beat the Jaguars by more than 11 points?  I don’t think so.

Chiefs -3 at Titans 1pm CBS

Chiefs

The Chiefs are a legit AFC contender, and their pass rush will get to Ryan Fitzpatrick often.  Look for the Chiefs to move to 5-0 and cover.

Panthers -2 at Cardinals 4:05pm FOX

The Cardinals barely beat a very bad Tampa Bay team last week, and the Panthers are rested up after their bye.  The Panther offense woke up against the Giants and should have no problem scoring vs. Arizona.

Broncos -7 at Cowboys 4:25pm CBS

I want to say the Broncos are prime for a letdown game, but I just can’t.  The Cowboy Cover 2 will get dismantled by Peyton and the Cowboys will be chasing by the start of the 3rd.

Texans at 49ers -7 8:30pm NBC

The Texans D will be able to keep Kaepernick wrapped up and force him to throw more than the 49ers want him to.  Texans keep it close until the end and have  a shot at the win.

Chargers -4.5 at Raiders 11:30pm NFL Network

If I was a Chargers fan the last place I would want to watch a game would be in Oakland at midnight.  The Raiders will be pumped with Pryor back under center, and they will get the win.

Jets at Falcons -9.5 8:40pm ESPN

COMING MONDAY!
